For 80eight’s The History of Money — Episode Two, the focus was on turning a dense historical arc into a fluid, cohesive visual narrative.
As editor, the core challenge lay in integrating archival and stock material seamlessly alongside original footage of presenter Zunaid Moti. Stock choices were dictated strictly by spatial logic, matching Moti's eyelines, framing, and onscreen direction so supporting visuals entered and exited the frame naturally. Rather than serving as passive filler, the archival footage acts as an active extension of his commentary, giving real-world context to the history of currency.
By focusing on exact pacing, continuity, and spatial relationships, the edit bridges contemporary dialogue with historical references, establishing a unified visual language out of disparate sources.
